In 2002, in order to maintain their status as Winnipegs  premier social and business club and to attract new members, The Manitoba Club commissioned Environmental Space Planning to develop a multi-phased  Master Plan for the rejuvenation of their facility.  The clubs vision was to seamlessly blend the newly renovated areas into the existing club to accommodate todays and tomorrows business, social and personal functions, while maintaining the Clubs traditional charm.

In 2007, Phase 1 included life safety and code upgrades as well as renovations to the existing banquet rooms complete with plasma monitors, robotic ceiling cameras, wireless capabilities and complete acoustic and environmental controls making the new Grand Ballroom the premier banquet facility in Manitoba.
