Gimli Community Health Centre

This 50,000 sq. ft. renovation/expansion, integrates community health, acute care and long term care in one facility.  Responding to the increasing evidence of the connection between emotions and healing and the effects of the healthcare environment on patient outcomes, an environment that both supports and enhances the healing process was created.  The embodiment of these concepts and the focal point of the Centre became The Healing Garden.

Demonstrating the power of evidence-based design, the Healing Garden Courtyard became not only its focal point but, a beacon in GCHCs way finding system.

Along with our Consulting Engineers, MCW/AGE, in 2007 LM Architectural Group was awarded the ACEC (Canadian Consulting Engineering Companies) National Award of Excellence for outstanding achievements in the field of engineering.
